President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych says that Ukrainian language will be the sole state language.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this during the ceremony of presenting of Shevchenko awards in Kanev.

“The Ukrainian language will develop in Ukraine as the sole state language”, said V. Yanukovych.  

Moreover, according to his words, the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages will be obligatory implemented in Ukraine.
