The 44th victim of a collision between a train and a passenger bus in Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, has died in Dnipropetrovsk from injuries incompatible with life, an Interfax-Ukraine reporter has said.
As reported, three people with head injuries and multiple bodily injuries were transported by plane from the hospital in Marhanets to Dnipropetrovsk early on October 13.
An Etalon passenger bus collided with a train at a railway crossing in Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, at about 0900 on October 12. According to preliminary reports, the bus tried to cross the track, ignoring the warning of an approaching train.
In terms of casualties, the road accident is the worst in the history of Ukraine's independence. The funerals of most of those killed are to take place in the village of Horodysche on Thursday.
