Convicted Demishkan fully admitted his guilt and showed where the dead body was, but the sentence was conditional. Accomplices in murder - Serhiy Levchenko and Oleksandr Kudrin - got 5 and 7 years of time in prison.

«The trial was conducted in such a condition that victims did not know about it and therefore had no right to appeal against it», said Andriy Mamalyga, a representative of the family of the deceased Vasyl Krivozuba in court.

«This verdict is not for Demishkan, this verdict is for the court system. He will go down in the history of judicial discretion and prosecution», added Mamalyga.

However, in comments to journalists, the judge Yaremenko said that there was «no intent to murder. They wanted to bring him to the notary. Perhaps it was a reckless homicide. «
