"I propose that we put [on the agenda on Tuesday a draft resolution on the cancelation of the results of the vote for the bill on slander], and consider and adopt it without any discussion," he said at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council on Monday, Oct. 1.
The president's permanent representative in parliament, Regions Party MP Yuriy Miroshnychenko, in turn, said that the parliament should reverse its decision to adopt the draft law on slander at first reading.
"I would like to draw particular attention to the draft resolution on the cancelation of the vote at first reading for the law on slander. Our colleagues have already expressed their position. I would ask you to include it on the agenda on Tuesday, as the adoption of the law on slander is unacceptable, especially under the conditions of incomplete democracy," he said.
